Brouwerij Pelgrim
Stadsbrouwerij de Pelgrim is located next to the Pilgrims’ Father’s Church in one of the parts of Rotterdam that has not been bombed. If you are in Historic Delfshaven, you step back in the late Middle Ages. This area is known worldwide for the Pilgrim Fathers who left in 1620, looking for a new existence in what we now call America. The building in the year 1580 has had many functions over the years. For example, it has been a city hall, a scouting association and a police station.
Harry van de Wiel, beer lover and Rotterdam hospitality entrepreneur, saw his dream come true here. The brewery has been making beer for Rotterdam since 9 May 1996. There is weekly brewed in the boilers that are built in the style of the building. Pilgrim pilgrim is to drink from the barrel and bottle in its own tasting room and various catering establishments in Rotterdam.
